FAQ

Common questions about HonestStack.

If your question isn't answered here, email hello@honeststack.co.uk and we'll get back to you.

What is HonestStack?

HonestStack is an automated short-form video studio that publishes football news roundups in colloquial Egyptian Arabic. Same Pharaoh mascot narrator every episode. Four episodes a day during the World Cup 2026 cycle.

Who is the Pharaoh?

The Pharaoh is HonestStack's fictional host — a single, consistent animated character that appears in every video. He wears the Egyptian headdress and a red Egypt football jersey. He's not based on any real person; he's the original brand mascot. Think of him as the "anchor" of the show.

How often do new episodes come out?

Four episodes per day, every six hours, Cairo time. Roughly 01:30, 07:30, 13:30, and 19:30. Each episode covers the most important football news from the previous six hours.

Where can I watch?

HonestStack publishes natively to TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Recent episodes are also embedded on the Episodes page.

What language are the videos in?

Colloquial Egyptian Arabic (عامية مصرية) — not Modern Standard Arabic. The voice is intentionally informal, the way young Egyptian football creators actually talk. Subtitles in Arabic appear on-screen with each segment.

Why a Pharaoh as the mascot?

Egypt's national football team has long been nicknamed "The Pharaohs" (الفراعنة). The Pharaoh ties the brand to Egyptian identity and football tradition, while staying playful and visually distinctive in a feed full of generic news graphics.

How is the content made?

HonestStack runs an automated four-stage pipeline: source ingestion (tier-1 football journalists on Twitter/X + major RSS feeds every six hours), editorial scripting (clustering, scoring, writing in Egyptian voice), rendering (text-to-speech narration + verified visuals + Pharaoh animation), and publishing to each platform.

A real person (the founder) reviews and approves every script before it renders. Nothing publishes automatically without human approval.

Is the news factual?

Yes. HonestStack's editorial layer is strictly fact-only — it only states what tier-1 sources have reported, and unverified claims are hedged or dropped entirely. We tag every script with the source URLs that back it. We don't invent scorelines, quotes, or stats.

Do you cover only the World Cup?

The 2026 cycle is the main focus, but episodes also cover ongoing club football (Premier League, La Liga, Champions League, Egyptian Premier League), transfers, and major story arcs around national teams — anything Egyptian football fans care about.

Is there an Arabic version of this site?

Not yet — the site itself is in English for now. The videos themselves are all in Egyptian Arabic. We may add an Arabic version of the site later.

Can I sponsor or partner with HonestStack?

Yes. Email hello@honeststack.co.uk with what you have in mind. We're open to sponsorships, brand integrations, and editorial collaborations that fit the show's voice.

Where can I report a problem with a video?

Email hello@honeststack.co.uk with the platform, the link to the video, and what's wrong. Factual errors get corrected and noted in the next episode.

How do you handle data and privacy?

See our Privacy Policy for full details. The short version: we don't collect personal data from viewers of our videos. Account-level data only exists if you log in to the cockpit (an internal admin tool not open to the public).
